Rectangular ceramic Ricard PICHET bearing the inscription "Ricard" on both sides. It is accompanied by 3 beautiful glasses designed by the Eric Berthes workshop, France, circa 2010. Unlike the more common round shapes of glasses, these are angular , made of thick, heavy glass, with the name “Ricard” vertically, from bottom to top, pressed into the glass.
RICARD and PERNOD are anise-flavored aperitif drinks that have been very popular in France since the 1950s.
The Pernod (founded at the beginning of the 20th century) and Ricard (founded in 1932) houses merged to create the Pernod Ricard group in 1975.
Carafes were used in French cafes and restaurants to contain the water that is added to these aniseed drinks, among the most common French aperitifs.
