BOX 1 - MOUSTIER
Lovely little vintage Moustier handmade box, bird motif.
Marked on the back: "1 - 171 Handmade Moustier decorations"
The Longchamp Moustiers Ceramics company has existed in France at Moustiers-Sainte-Marie in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department for generations and the models are believed to have first appeared in the 1700s. This pill bottle is in excellent vintage condition with no chip or crack.

This pretty rectangular porcelain box rests on 4 golden feet. The lid is surrounded by a golden border and a romantic scene in the center. It can be used as a jewelry box, candy box... Good condition, traces of wear on the gold (see photos).
